…is the Technical Director for the School of Theatre and Dance at Texas Tech University. He has a MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Washington, and a BA in Technical Theatre from West Texas A&M University. Jared has designed scenery for several shows including John Baxter is a Switch Hitter (Intiman Theatre), Green Day’s American Idiot (ArtsWest), The Hostage, Sweet Charity, Time Stands Still, The Fifth of July (University of Washington), Urinetown: the Musical (Balagan Theatre, Playhouse Tulsa, and WTAMU), By The Bog of Cats, Speed-the-Plow, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (WTAMU). He has also served as the assistant scenic designer for Jennifer Zeyl for two years, shows included Angels in America Parts I & II, and The Children’s Hour (Intiman Theatre). Jared was also the Technical Director for Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre’s ‘16 Season, and Intiman Theatre’s ‘14 and ‘15 Seasons. He has worked at the Santa Fe Opera in multiple positions within the stage department between ’06-’13.
